Wheaton Family Picture

As a proud mother, resident, and active parent in the El Segundo Unified School District, I welcome the privilege to serve alongside our governing School Board members in the quest to successfully guide our school district through these challenging times and beyond. Our students need us more than ever, and I will work hard to ensure they receive the educational experience they deserve. My goal is to achieve continued excellence at our schools through compassion, empathy, and purpose.

Our town is best known for its schools and the dedicated community members and community partners who work together. I will be your voice on the School Board. I pledge to listen to you and to work hard to maintain and enhance the cohesive relationships with Board members, district personnel, staff and teachers, all in the name of excellence for our students.

I will bring to the School Board team my talents in analytical and critical thinking as well as my financial expertise. After receiving my degree in Economics/Accounting, I began my professional career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the global accounting firm KPMG. I have also worked in the Finance departments for Universal Music and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Currently, I am the Chief of Staff at a M&A consulting firm, here, in El Segundo.

I am committed to serving our schools. I have served on the Center Street School PTA Executive Board as Treasurer, where I was awarded the Honorary Service Award for revamping the PTA’s financial process for greater accountability and efficiency. Later, I served as PTSA Treasurer at the El Segundo Middle School, implementing the same process. I also volunteered at Center Street School in various capacities including Trash Free Clean-up, Frozen Fridays, Art docent, event volunteer, and room parent for many years. I have also actively supported the El Segundo ED! Foundation by modeling for Ladies Night Out, attending the Gala! and I have consistently been a Superintendent's Round Table contributor. I continue to give back to the El Segundo community. And now with my teenage daughters by my side, we volunteer as a mother/daughter team for the National Charity League, where I have held the positions of Vice President of Communications and Grade Level Advisor.

I will work hard for the overall success of our school district, our children, our community, and our future. Please cast your vote for me for El Segundo School Board member.
